Nestled within a hilly landscape dominated by maritime pines and overlooking the horizon, this contemporary detached villa embodies a perfect synthesis of minimalist rigor and natural warmth. Arranged on a single level, the architecture is distinguished by its clean geometric lines and pronounced horizontality, designed to follow the natural slope of the terrain while maximizing visual permeability and the connection with the surrounding landscape.
The architectural envelope is defined by a carefully balanced interplay of materials. Crisp white plastered volumes engage in a dialogue with the rustic texture of natural stone walls, which define the access routes and anchor the structure to its setting. A system of vertical brise-soleil screens and deep oak pergolas modulates solar exposure, creating a dynamic interplay of shadows across the façades while introducing an organic element that softens the austerity of concrete. In the evening, carefully designed grazing lighting enhances the textures of the stone and the architectural volumes, transforming the villa into a strikingly atmospheric setting.
The boundary between domestic space and the surrounding natural environment is virtually erased by expansive, full-height sliding glass doors. At the heart of the home lies a generous open-plan living area organized around a glazed internal patio: a true green courtyard featuring sculptural succulents that brings natural light and a sense of openness into the centre of the floor plan. Interior finishes prioritize absolute visual continuity. Grey microcement flooring flows seamlessly throughout every room, creating a contemporary aesthetic. The bespoke furnishings convey understated sophistication: the kitchen features a dark island with a marble-effect countertop, complemented by a substantial Air dining table by Lago in solid wood and illuminated from above by the iconic Moon pendant light by Davide Groppi. The relaxation area, centred around a suspended black metal GyroFocus fireplace, features a deep, dark modular sofa with soft, inviting forms.
The outdoor spaces are conceived as a natural extension of the living area. Refined timber decking unfolds across multiple levels, following the contours of the terrain and accommodating a linear swimming pool and an exclusive sunken lounge area with a central fire pit. The landscape design blends the existing Mediterranean vegetation with low-maintenance dry gardens, creating a peaceful oasis where the architecture gradually recedes, giving way to the horizon.
